The opportunity

Delaware North Travel is searching for an Assistant General Manager to join our team at Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple food and beverage outlets, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. The Assistant General Manager will lead and support unit managers and staff, manage inventory and labor costs, and ensure compliance with airport and health regulations. This role demands strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.

On July 10, 2025, Delaware North announced its US-based Travel Hospitality Services (THS) business will be sold to Areas, a global leader in travel dining and retail. The sale is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2025. Upon completion of the sale, all THS team members will become part of Areas. Areas will operate 369 locations in 27 airports and 12 travel plazas nationwide, with a U.S. workforce of over 6,000. Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $104,100 - $140,500 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
  • Assist in establishing and implementing current and long-term objectives, plans and policies, and budget.
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with license partners and maintain brand compliance.
  • Build and maintain positive customer and client relations by providing efficient, quality services and products, and continue to grow our footprint within the airport community.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of unit management and oversee supervision of associates.
  • Train associates on company policy and procedures and ensure quality performance.
  • Oversee the recommendation and establishment of prices and portions for products and services within the approved profit plan.
  • Responsible for opening and closing of all THS concepts.
  • Verify and prepare reports as required and provide and administer an effective system for cash, inventory, and payroll.
  • Maintain proper implementation of sanitation procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure proper repair and maintenance of foodservice equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding liquor, sanitation, payroll, and employment.

More about you
  • A minimum of 5 years of multi-unit, full service, food and beverage management experience in a contract environment.
  • Must have a strong commitment to customer and client service.
  • Strong managerial skills required; demonstrated initiative, leadership, and team-building skills are essential.
  • Experience within the airport industry and with branded concepts is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management is strongly preferred.
