Role Summary

Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor performs the functions of shipping and receiving, material handling, inventory management and record keeping for incoming and outgoing shipments of company products and vendor parts necessary to manufacturing of products; stores and distributes materials, dry ingredients, and products within the warehouse, ensures accuracy and timeliness of all job functions; verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all incoming and outbound shipments, including preparation of paperwork in ERP system, management of shipping material inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation service
• Distributes documentation and notifies incoming product to end user
• Receives, unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects, and reports defective or damaged items, records shortages
• Works with Finance on freight/parcel claims and carrier invoice disputes
• Completes incoming confirmation of certificates and reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation
• Prepare documentation for customer shipments, including LTL, TL, and Parcels
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform weekly inventory cycle counts
• Ensure all records and reports regarding the Distribution Center activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained
• Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas to ensure the warehouse is maintained, clean, accessible, and safe
• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas, and assist unloading trucks
• Manage parcel and freight carriers, monitoring shipping rates and overall carrier performance, while working with these partners to obtain the best pricing and continuous service
• Process production orders for blended materials stored in the Distribution Center
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
• Continuous standing, bending, twisting, and crouching
• The employee may occasionally reach above shoulder height

Desired Skills

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in business, Logistics, or related field, or commensurate experience.
• 5+ years of working experience in distribution or logistics
• Familiarity with ERP, distribution, or logistics software
• Acumatica ERP system experience is a plus
• Microsoft Office application experience
