Summary

Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool is looking for an experienced camp Counselor to work with our 3-year-old, 4-year-old, 5?6-year-old, and 7?11-year-old camp groups for our Camp-at-the Co-op starting mid-June through the end of July.
TFCP Summer Camp is a place where children come to enjoy their summer days!

Each camp day children enjoy free play, art activities, outside play, large motor activities, water play and more. Our Counselors introduce weekly themes and incorporate materials and activities into making each theme a playful learning experience.

This is the  PERFECT JOB for students starting or returning to college in August or September. Camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 12, with an Extended Day until 2 p.m.

We finish camp at the end of July, which allows time for a vacation and college prep before school starts.

Duties

Responsibilities of a Camp Counselor include, but are not limited to the following:

Counselors are responsible for the health and well-being of the children in their group along with the other campers and staff members on site.

Counselors are required to arrive 15 minutes before and stay about 15 minutes after the last camper leaves for the day.

Counselors meet with the Assistant Counselors to share ideas for the week, finalize plans, and to facilitate in gathering materials as needed.

All staff members work as a team to keep the camp space clean and sanitized throughout each day.

Requirements

Counselors must have prior experience leading a group of preschool children , including planning & preparation of daily activities.

As per NJ Department of Children & Families, Office of Licensing requirements, all newly hired employees must pass a background check and fingerprinting prior to their first day with the children.

TFCP follows all Office of Licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aide training is a plus.
