Peace and Education Coalition Alternative High School (PECHS) Internship program is a three month program that provides our high school Sophomores, Juniors, and Senior students the opportunity to improve their attendance as well as gain real-world work experience. Interns may work up to a maximum of four hours per week. These are temporary positions.

Job summary:

This student employee position will be compensated for time worked on an hourly basis. The work schedule for this role will consist of an estimated 4 hours per week - 2hrs/day after school from 3:30-5:30 pm for 2 days per week for an anticipated period of 3 months beginning February 2,2023 and ending May 31, 2023.

The PECHS Student Intern will complete duties such as the following:

• Perform assigned duties specific to the school/building needs where the internship is performed.
• Perform specific tasks under the supervision and guidance of staff to support program activities.
• Participate in set-up and operation of special events and program activities.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are preferred:

• Willing and able to perform the job duties.
• Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of employment.
• Must be willing and able to improve school attendance.

In order to qualify for this student worker position, candidates must be actively enrolled as a CPS student and attending their sophomore, junior, or senior year in high school during the 2022-2023 school year.
