Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

• Financial Reporting and Ledger Management:

  • The Staff Accountant will prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain general ledger for multiple entities, including reconciliations and monthly closing tasks.
  • Produce and distribute financial statements and reports, assist with audits and reviews.

• Accounts Receivable and Payable:

  • The Staff Accountant will process customer payments, create and submit invoices, maintain customer files.
  • Review and post rent batches, commissions, and other transactions.
  • Manage fixed assets and process monthly amortizations.

• Monthly and Periodic Tasks:

  • The Staff Accountant will produce financial packages and managerial reports.
  • Reconcile accounts, record necessary entries, and prepare wire transfers.
  • Handle journal entries, reclasses, and accruals, including interest income and depreciation.
  • Support special projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications desired for the Staff Accountant:

• Proficiency in accounting software and solid Excel skills.

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 depending on experience. This role is fully in-office with some periodic flexibility.
