Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: El Monte, CA 91731 Pay Rate: $40.00-46.00/hour, full time, direct job with full benefits. Area Code: 626 Shifts: 1st Direct Hire Full Time, Full Benefits #sourceinspection #supplierqualityengineering #aerospacejobs Overview: We're seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to act as the primary quality liaison between our customer and their external suppliers. This role focuses on ensuring compliance to flow down requirements, conducting source inspections, and driving supplier performance and improvement. Candidates should have a strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and hands-on experience with supplier audits, root cause analysis, and inspection processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform or support source inspections at supplier sites to verify product compliance prior to shipment
• Review supplier product for conformance to engineering and quality requirements
• Lead supplier audits, risk assessments, and corrective action efforts
• Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement
• Interface with internal teams to communicate quality performance and risks
• Analyze defect data and support development of Supplier Quality Improvement Plans (SQIPs)

Qualifications:

• 2 or more years experience working in quality engineering, source inspections or manufacturing engineering
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102, AS9145, and aerospace quality systems
• Familiarity with IPC standards (J-STD-001, A-610) and GD&T
• Skilled in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, RCCA, SPC, and supplier development
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in cross-functional settings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical commodities
• Understanding of special processes and NADCAP requirements
• Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required
