Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to contribute to an educational environment focused on the needs of elementary students. This contract position is based in Camarillo, CA, and involves collaboration with both onsite and remote Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support a diverse student population.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and treatment strategies.
  • Proficiency in using technology for documentation and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of speech and language services as directed by a licensed SLP.
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Collaborate with SLPs to create effective therapy plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student outcomes.
  • Support students in developing communication skills through therapeutic activities.
  • Communicate regularly with educators and parents regarding student progress and needs.
