Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the school year in San Jose, CA. This contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to school-based therapy services by assisting Speech-Language Pathologists in supporting students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy to students
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to enhance student outcomes
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current California SLPA license is required
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
