The goal of this position is to assist the team of mechanics with miscellaneous repairs along with maintaining the cleanliness of the fleet, shop, and yard. Everyone’s function within the company requires team members to be cooperative and helpful to the rest of the team. Education/Experience/Requirements Beginner 1-3 years’ experience preferred as a mechanic, some experience may include working with gas engines, diesel engines, hydraulic and air brake systems Successful pre-hire and ongoing drug, MVR and background screenings Description of Duties Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on all vehicles and assigned equipment Remove, repair, adjust, overhaul, assemble, disassemble, and replace major assemblies, subassemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as: power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emissions, brake, steering, and hydraulics Maintain and monitor preventative maintenance schedule through GPS fleet tracking system Read and apply directions in operator’s and technical manuals Monitor inventory and stock levels; communicate needed purchases with lead mechanic Inspect work-in-progress and upon completion Maintain a clean and organized work environment Attend all required company meetings Represent the company in a professional manner Comply with all company policies and procedures Support the company’s safety policy Maintain confidentiality of company and client information Perform other related duties as assigned Skills and Personal Attributes Ability to work in a fast-paced/physical environment Ambition to learn and gain new skills and knowledge Self-starter/self-motivated Organized with attention to detail and cleanliness Essential Functions Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and square to perform repairs and inspections Good vision in order to inspect repair work Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds Comfortable working within a noisy area with odors present (all necessary safety measures will be taken and PPE will be provided) Position Type: Full time, hourly Schedule or Core Hours: 7:00AM-3:30PM Immediate Supervisor: Lead Mechanic Department Supervisor: Director of Operations Korellis Roofing, Inc. is an Equal Employment/Affirmative Action Employer and is in compliance with the Federal E-Verify Program.
