Position Title: Senior Systems Administrator

Location: Norco, CA

Salary Range : $35 to $45 per hour DOE
Rivet Operations Company has an opening for a Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing team in Norco, CA. Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") is a leader in physical and cyber security, scientific research, development, and facilities management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

• Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Provide operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades.
• Oversee the implementation of system specifications; integration, testing, and documentation are a key part of the role.
• Provide Systems Administration services such as operation and maintenance, managing user accounts, file management, systems development, systems analyst services, automated information system design, and integration services, backup, recovery, security, and data conversion services.
• Analyze and resolve common problems related to servers and storage.
• Install patches and perform system updates per Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements.
• Identify the need for updates and upgrades and implement them to the network infrastructure.
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Monitor the performance of servers, software, and hardware.
• Open-minded, leans forward, and does not hesitate to reach out to others for help.
• Passionate about technology and excited about learning new systems.

Education / Experience / Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific or technical discipline preferred
• 10 years relevant experience as a system administrator
• Minimum Baseline Certification: CompTIA Security+
• Experience leading daily operational requirements of computer network systems, file servers, and web servers
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
