JOB OVERVIEW:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management (MDM) Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the functional design, implementation, and support of Oracle Utilities MDM solutions for our utility clients.
- You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional designs, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle Utilities MDM and the complexities of utility meter data management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with utility clients to understand their business challenges and objectives related to meter data management, including data acquisition, validation, estimation, and integration with other utility systems.
- Elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional requirements related to MDM processes, data integration, reporting, and exception management.
- Translate business requirements into functional designs and specifications for Oracle Utilities MDM.
- Configure and customize Oracle Utilities MDM to meet client-specific needs. Be specific about which modules/functionality, e.g., meter event processing, VEE rules, data aggregation, reporting.
- Develop and deliver training materials and conduct end-user training on Oracle Utilities MDM functionality.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide post-implementation support to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle Utilities MDM features, patches, and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies for Oracle Utilities MDM implementations.
- Participate in project planning and execution, contributing to project timelines and deliverables.
- Collaborate with technical teams (developers, DBAs) to ensure seamless integration with other utility systems (e.g., CIS, billing, outage management, head-end systems). List specific integrations, e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, API integrations.
- Conduct workshops and presentations to clients on Oracle Utilities MDM solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees (MBA, MS, etc.) or Oracle-related certifications (Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Utilities MDM, etc.) are a plus.
Experience :
- 5+ years of experience as a functional consultant or business analyst, with a strong focus on Oracle Utilities MDM.
Skills :
- Deep understanding of utility metering processes and data management, including meter reading, data validation, estimation, and integration with downstream systems.
- Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements related to meter data management and translate them into functional specifications for MDM.
- Hands-on experience configuring and customizing Oracle Utilities MDM. List specific modules/functionality, e.g., configuration of meter events, VEE rules, data processing rules, integrations.
- Experience with smart metering infrastructure and AMI technologies.
- Knowledge of utility industry regulations and compliance requirements related to meter data management.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools related to meter data.
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Meter Solution Cloud Service (MSCS).
Other Desired Competencies:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Experience with data integration tools and technologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Certifications :
- Oracle Utilities MDM certifications or other related certifications.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification is a plus.
