Position Overview:

The North American Retail Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing the retail merchandising strategy that will result in achievement of Stanley sales volume and financial objectives in our wholesale channel. This involves designing in-store concepts and building visual merchandising plans by customer/channel that will aid in accelerating sales growth in North America and elevate the consumer’s shopping experience in retail doors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create captivating in-store concepts and designs by channel/customer for product launches, store openings, pop-ups and special events that bring the Stanley brand to life.
  • Develop retail visual merchandising strategy to aid in achieving sales goals.
  • Manage creative briefs and process.
  • Develop customer specific visual merchandising plans for retail partners and Consumer Experience Specialists to utilize in the field.
  • Present concepts to internal team members as well as retail partners.
  • Utilize visual 3D planogram to narrate a visual merchandising story.
  • Understand key markets/epicenters to aid in creating regionally relevant stories.
  • Effectively communicate actionable trends and sales opportunities.
  • Partner with Commercial, Marketing and Sales team to develop compelling product assortment stories that maximize brand perception.
  • Work closely with Consumer Experience Manager to deliver the vision and consult on build out plans.
  • Build collaborative relationships with all cross- functional areas within Stanley.
  • Utilize merchandising tools to plan and design in-store assortments. Make recommendations for new tools/processes for enhanced visual execution.
  • Conduct regular merchandising store visits at key retail partner doors.
  • Support strategic installs as needed.
  • Gather feedback from retailers and customers to understand effectiveness of Visual Merchandising standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Create reports & key performance metrics.

About You:

  • Passion for trend, fashion, and design.
  • Positive and energetic, with a Consumer first mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas and concepts through quality execution of 3D/2D renderings.
  • Strong self-awareness with ability and passion to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Ability to travel for meetings, store openings, store sets, etc. Up to 30%.

Education & Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Retail Visual Merchandising and/or Retail Design roles with consumer-based lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced visual merchandising knowledge and understanding how visual merchandising supports the consumer experience.
  • S. or B.A. in Visual Merchandising, Design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Ps, Ai, Id, etc.) and Visual Merchandising Tools. Working knowledge of KeyShot is a plus.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
