Comprehensive Therapy and Rehab is seeking a Full-Time compassionate and dependable respiratory therapist who loves education and working one-on-one with patients. The Respiratory therapist’s main job will be providing training and guidance in our local Pulmonary Rehabilitation offices. Other job requirements are providing in-home care, pulmonary function testing, and six-minute walk tests.

Location: Aiken, Barnwell, and Augusta 

Patient Assessment and Care Planning:

· Evaluate patients’ respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.

· Monitor patient’s responses to treatment and modify when necessary.

Treatment and Therapy:

· Be able to oversee and conduct one-on-one care in our Pulmonary Rehab specific to department of labor rules and regulations.

· Travel to patient’s homes to provide care within respiratory scope of practice

· Maintain, educate, and make sure patients have proper DME in his/her homes.

· Maintain proper documentation

Diagnostic Procedures:

· Perform Pulmonary Function tests

· Oversee Six-minute Walk tests

· Help set up and oversee Sleep studies

· Help set up and oversee overnight pulse oximetry

Qualifications:

· Current, valid certification or licensure.

· Reliable personal vehicle with valid insurance.

· Negative criminal background history check and pre-employment drug screening.

· Proficient use of spoken and written English.

· Ability to use problem solving to identify and correct malfunctions of respiratory care equipment.

· Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills to work productively with patients, family, staff, and co-workers.

· Accepts directives, maintains confidentiality, does not discriminate, and upholds the ethical standards of the profession.
