About the Position

We’re on the hunt for a mid-level Product Designer to join our growing squad. To be successful in this role, you should be highly collaborative, adaptable, and bring a healthy dose of humor. The design team is relatively new and highly motivated to improve the lives of our inspectors. We can only do this by listening to our customers and working as a team to provide consistent, validated experiences.

In addition to working closely with the design team, you will collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to create a cohesive, engaging, and user-friendly experience across our platform.

Core Responsibilities

• Craft and validate new experiences using mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other design artifacts for our web and mobile platforms.
• Create low-fi to high-fi designs that seamlessly translate into development for Product and Engineering teams.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers as a core member of a cross-functional team, solving challenges based on user research.
• Be a tireless advocate for users, driving home the importance of user experience across the company.
• Lead efforts to improve our UX research and design process documentation.
• Deliver and document dev-ready specs for the engineering team.

• Action-Oriented. You’re not afraid of ambiguity, and you know how to make things happen.
• Empathetic. You lead with kindness, self-awareness, and empathy.
• Technical-Minded. You are proficient in Figma and have a fundamental understanding of how web apps are built. (no coding required)
