VIBE Cannabis is currently seeking an experienced Security Manager for our cannabis cultivation and manufacturing facility located in St. Louis, MO.   The Security Manager will work with the Director of Compliance and Security to provide strategic leadership, management, direction and support to the company's security operations and team members. The right candidate will have both proven experience with security protocols and procedures, and a proven track record for leading and managing teams.

  We are looking for a competent Security Manager to organize and oversee all security operations of our company. Security personnel will be under your command while you develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards that align with company policy and state mandated regulations.

  As security manager, you will have to demonstrate excellent surveillance and emergency response skills. You will need a strong commitment to security rules and knowledge of all hazards and threats to safety. Since you will have a number of people under your responsibility, you must also exhibit leadership skills.

  The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected and within mandated compliance at all times.

  Core Job Responsibilities

  • Keep local law enforcement updated on whether the facility employs armed security personnel and how law enforcement can identify such personnel on sight
  • Ensure proper function of all security equipment and cameras. Coordinate any necessary repairs to security system.
    • Notify DHSS within twenty four (24) hours after any security system malfunction.
  • Notify DHSS within twenty four (24) hours after any incident of theft or attempted theft of medical marijuana.
  • Maintain and update Company Security Log; to include: each malfunction and repair to security system and all communications with DHSS relating to security matters
  • Conduct weekly audits of Company security measures to ensure compliance with State regulations
  • Train employees on security measures, emergency response and theft prevention and response.
    • Fire, earthquake, tornado, intruder and active shooter responses.
  • Evaluate the credentials of contractors who intend to provide services to the facility before the contractor is hired by or enters into contract with the facility.
  • Evaluate the credentials of any third party who intends to provide security services to the facility before the third party is hired by or enters into contract with the facility.
  • Ensure all Company and third party security agents adhere to Company SOPs
  • Ensure all Company and third party security agents have completed the following training:
    • Training in theft prevention or a related subject;
    • Training in emergency response or a related subject;
    • Training in the appropriate use of force or a related subject that covers when the use of force is and is not necessary;
    • Training in the protection of a crime scene or a related subject;
    • Training in the control of access to protected areas of a facility or a related subject;
    • Not less than eight (8) hours of training at the facility in providing security services; and
    • Not less than eight (8) hours of classroom training in providing security services.
  • Work with security agents and warehouse staff to notify Company about incoming or outgoing manifests and deliveries.
  • Work with security agents and inhouse delivery team to maintain and backup the transportation data to the server.

  Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities that help you do your job!)

  • Proven leadership skills and 3+ years of experience managing a team required
  • All required state and local security licenses
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a comprehensive security and compliance programs in a professional setting required
  • Experience with utilizing and implementing multiple VMS.
  • Ability to problem-solve and implement standards and process improvement initiatives
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task on several projects at once while always remaining compliant with all laws and regulations
  • Strong IT skills: proven ability to utilize IT systems required but experience with programming or cyber security not required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate with C-Suite and Government Officials in an articulate manner.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working within the industry
  • Ability to be onsite full time.
  • Able to work in loud areas.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Capable of working in dark or bright environments.
  • Able to work in low oxygen areas.
  • Capable of working with or around caustic and potentially harmful chemicals.
  • Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas.
