Job Description

This job requires military service with a contract as a commissioned officer in the Air Force. The application is for a specific position within the Air Force. *Position Summary* Most aircraft require more than a pilot to successfully carry out a mission. It takes collaboration among many to keep our aircraft flying safely and effectively. Special Mission Aviators are key members of our air crews. In addition to possessing attention to detail and excellent communication skills, they train in diverse mission sets including operating various mechanical and weapons systems, and ensuring the proper loading of cargo onto aircraft. These specialists keep our aircraft ready at all times. *Primary Responsibilities*

• Performs pre-flight, thru-flight, post-flight and operational checks of aircraft systems, including electrical, communications and emergency systems.
• Monitors aircraft performance during all phases of flight, including altitude, air speed and fuel consumption.
• Develops cargo-loading plans, ensuring accurate distribution of weight and placement of cargo and personnel.
• Generates mission plans including determining fuel loads, plotting flight routes and considering factors like distance and weather conditions.

*Qualifications*

• HS diploma or GED
• Courses in mathematics, computer principles, typing, speech and English
• Qualification for aviation service
• Normal depth perception
• Eligibility to deploy and mobilize worldwide
• Height not less than 64" or more than 77"
• Eligibility for top-secret security clearance
