Overview
Wedding Day Diamonds has an opportunity for a Paid Internship on our graphics design and marketing team. This position will work directly with our marketing team on email campaigns, social media content and other branding projects under the direction of multiple leaders on the marketing team. All design work must follow our branding and style guidelines. Work will consist mostly of email and social media content design. The ideal candidate would have a passion for branding and an eye for style. Loving jewelry and photography experience is a plus!
Wedding Day Diamonds is an innovative jewelry industry leader, and we are reshaping the way consumers approach their engagement ring, wedding bands, and fashion jewelry shopping experiences. We provide our clients with a shopping experience that is unlike any other by offering over 3,000 different engagement ring styles that are completely customizable.
We currently operate at 9 locations across Minnesota.
Responsibilities - Assist the lead graphics designer to complete all digital marketing design including but not limited to emails, banner ads, web design and social media content.
- If a candidate has photography experience, this role could include assisting the team with in house photo and video shoots for social media content.
- This position will require the designer to use a combination of stock photos, graphics, in-house photography, and other types of media and submit to the team for approval or edits.
- Work directly with the lead and assistant graphics designer to understand our branding and style guidelines and create materials that reflect the team’s vision and approach.
- See assigned projects through, from concept to completion, with feedback from the entire marketing team.
Skills/Qualifications - College credits towards a graphics design or equivalent marketing degree.
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Figma, Basecamp and Microsoft Teams would be helpful.
- Must have a clean and modern aesthetic with the ability to learn and understand the wedding jewelry industry.
- Must have the ability to thrive in fast paced work environment, hit tight deadlines and pivot immediately when campaigns go in a different direction.
- Must have a passion for working with a team to create and implement successful marketing campaigns.
- Must be willing to learn new skills and/or ways to design and edit if necessary.
Additional Requirements - Internship will require 10-20 hours per week with a tentative end date of June 1st but will be open for extension at the recommendation of marketing leadership.
- Must have the ability to work remotely, join team meetings via Zoom, Google Meets and/or Microsoft Teams and also provide minimal time in person at our Eden Prairie corporate office if necessary on a project basis only.
