The Faculty of Finance, Accounting, Economics professor is considered a senior member of the University faculty and serves as a respected mentor to colleagues and students. Appointment as a Finance, Accounting, Economics Professor signifies demonstrated excellence as an educator, competence as a scholar, and recognition in professional service. The Associate Professor in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

You Will Be Responsible For:

\n \n\n \n\n

• Demonstrates behaviors at Adventist University of Health Sciences in harmony with the “Four Words” Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship
\n \n
• Provide course syllabi for instruction.
\n \n
• Develop, design and deliver instruction in assigned courses.
\n \n
• Participate in student advising and mentoring.
\n \n
• Formulate and administer, as needed, student competencies.
\n \n
• Engage in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship and research.
\n \n
• Grade examinations and assignments and review evaluations with students.
\n \n\n \n\n

What Will You Need:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

\n \n\n \n\n

\n
• Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited academic institution. The degree must be either in the assigned area of education or in an area that directly contributes to the professional assignment
\n \n
• At least 3-years of effective college-level work in the area of academic or professional expertise.
\n \n
• Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment
\n \n
• Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems
\n \n
• Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body.
\n \n\n \n\n

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n \n\n \n

May supervise adjunct professors, graduate teaching assistants or student workers.

\n \n\n \n
