About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Business and Legal Affairs within its Game Shows Division. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, production, marketing, and licensing of game shows and related consumer products. This key position involves structuring, negotiating, and drafting a wide range of agreements, including development, talent, production, and licensing deals. The Executive Director will also provide essential business affairs counsel, advise on deal structures, and manage day-to-day issues related to multiple television series. Collaboration with various internal departments and external industry contacts is a fundamental aspect of the role. Applicants must have a JD and a minimum of 5 years' experience in business affairs or business/legal affairs, preferably within the entertainment industry. The role requires extensive experience in negotiating and drafting business affairs contracts, with a focus on television game shows and series. A strong understanding of licensing, coproduction agreements, and distribution-related contracts is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex legal matters, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to building relationships. The Executive Director will be expected to demonstrate strong legal acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to provide strategic solutions to legal issues.
