Job Description

Job Description

If you are passionate about advocating for the future of people and the environment and want to work at a company that values its employees above all else, then there is a place waiting for you at SevenGen. We have a deep appreciation for our communities and our environment. We provide exceptional service, and our pursuit of excellence is tireless. Through these core values we are rapidly growing our team of talented professionals.

At SevenGen, we believe environmental consulting is more than just compliance — it’s about protecting our communities, improving workplaces, and serving with integrity. We’re seeking an Environmental Consultant who brings sharp technical skills, strong communication, and a deep sense of purpose to every project. Someone who can hit the ground running with air permitting and loves to deliver training, such as RCRA, DOT, and HAZWOPER. Our candidate is grounded in regulatory knowledge and can complete environmental compliance audits, has Certified Wastewater Operator experience, and not only speaks clearly in the spirit of improvement, but shows up as a trusted partner to both our clients and our team.

Our ideal candidates don’t just meet expectations — they anticipate client and team needs, add thoughtful touches, and work to make every engagement better than the last. They are problem-solvers and creative thinkers.

If you thrive on variety, appreciate honest communication, and see growth as a daily practice, let’s talk.

What You’ll Do:

  • Complete compliance audits and prepare air permit applications, stormwater plans, SPCCs, and waste documentation.
  • Lead environmental training sessions (RCRA, DOT HAZMAT, HAZWOPER) for clients and internal teams.
  • Apply your working knowledge of federal and state regs to help clients navigate audits and avoid risk.
  • Write technical reports that are sharp, clear, and actionable.
  • Deliver exceptional service by anticipating client needs, staying responsive, and showing up with solutions.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time to client sites across the region.

What You Bring:

  • 3–5 years of experience in environmental compliance or consulting.
  • Direct experience in air permitting and wastewater operations (a must).
  • Experience delivering training on RCRA, HAZWOPER, and DOT.
  • A strong understanding of stormwater, SPCC, and hazardous waste compliance.
  • Confidence in front of a room — and comfort talking to everyone from operators to execs.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Bonus points for Class B Wastewater Operator or Asbestos Inspector license.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Think clearly, write well, and communicate with purpose.
  • Manage your time and your workload with little supervision
  • Want to grow — personally, professionally, and as part of a team that challenges and supports each other.
  • Treat feedback as a tool for growth, not criticism.
  • Care deeply about the impact of your work — for your clients, your coworkers, and the future.

Why SevenGen:

  • Competitive compensation + performance-based bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous paid time off
  • Annual personal development budget
  • Career pathways with support to grow into technical or leadership roles
  • Supportive leadership and a culture that actually lives its values

At SevenGen, we believe exceptional service comes from clarity, empathy, and a drive for continuous improvement. Our consultants are trusted partners and steady voices in chaotic moments. We solve problems, but more than that — we prevent them. If that sounds like a place where you could thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
