ED Tech Full Time Days Position Summary Provides patient care support services in the Emergency Department under the supervision of an RN.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent customer service skills and basic computer skills, knowledge of basic medical terminology required.
THE ED TECH FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: One year of experience in as a nursing assistant; or in lieu of experience,
Current CNA certificate, or LNA license from the Arizona State Board of Nursing; or
Completed block one/first year of nursing school; or
Current EMT-B certification; or
Completion of formal PCA/T/ED Tech education program from an accredited institution.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Six months experience in a hospital or emergency room setting as a Unit Secretary, EMT or CNA.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or meet minimum experience requirements; CPR.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Emergency Medical Tech (EMT), CPR.

Responsibilities This position will support all the facilities in the market as needed. May require prior experience with IV insertion, blood draws and placing 12 Lead ECG's.
Qualifications Education: Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician program.
Experience: Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician experience.
Certifications: Required: Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) certification; AHA BLS.
