Position Overview: The Digital Marketing Manager will develop and execute digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, increase engagement across platforms, and support the growth of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). This role will focus on driving audience growth and interaction through various digital initiatives, with a particular emphasis on IDAtv, social media, email campaigns, and website optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit marketing, a passion for literacy advocacy, and expertise in leveraging digital tools to drive results. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Digital Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to promote IDA’s mission, programs, and initiatives, including IDAtv, fundraising campaigns, email marketing, events, and organizational growth efforts. Manage and optimize IDA’s digital presence across platforms (website, social media, email marketing, paid advertising, etc.). Develop social media engagement strategies, including responding to comments and fostering online communities. Segment email lists for targeted communication to diverse audiences, including educators and parents. IDAtv Strategy & Growth: Oversee content strategy and distribution for IDAtv to increase viewership and subscriptions. Identify and implement monetization opportunities for IDAtv, including sponsorships, ad placements, premium content, and partnerships. Work closely with the content team to develop engaging, mission-aligned video content for IDAtv. Content Development & Management: Design or oversee the creation of high-quality, engaging graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets to enhance digital campaigns. Manage the production and scheduling of annual content calendars for social media, email marketing, website updates, and IDAtv. Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and tone across all digital platforms. Website Management: Oversee content updates on the IDA website to ensure timely, accurate, and engaging information. Manage all aspects of IDA’s online bookstore, including product postings, database updates, functionality, inventory management, sales and promotion, customer communications, and relationships with suppliers. Optimize website content for search engines (SEO) to increase organic reach. Collaborate with web developers for technical improvements to enhance user experience. Analytics & Optimization: Analyze campaign performance metrics to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement. Use insights to optimize campaigns, content strategies, and user experiences. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on key performance indicators and digital marketing initiatives. Collaboration & Capacity Building: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align digital strategies with broader organizational goals. Provide training and resources to staff and branch leaders on digital marketing best practices. Partner with external vendors or consultants as needed for digital marketing projects. Other duties as assigned. Experience, Skills and Additional Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. At least 5 years experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of revenue generation and audience growth. Proven expertise in managing social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact), and website content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Uscreen-or similar). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient knowledge using graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to work independently and multi-task between multiple creative and administrative projects. Experience in nonprofit marketing or fundraising, preferred.
